Rebecca Newman’s ZO Journey – Week 6: Christmas Party Ready

A success! I attended the GQ Christmas party – rockstars, models etc – and not one flake.
The event was a Friday. On the Tuesday I dropped down to the ZO Essential regime:
Cleanser, Polish, Pads, Daily Power Defense, Oclipse Sunscreen + Primer SPF30.
The flaking stopped and revealed the most gloriously radiant skin. Amazing.
A facial with the fabulous Kate Kerr, and […]

Rebecca Newman’s ZO Journey – Week 5: Natural Moisturising Factors

This week I wanted to unpack what Dr van Eeden told me about how ZO products bring back the skin’s ability to keep itself hydrated with its natural moisturising factors (why Dr. Obagi believes we should all step away from the moisturiser bottle).
Our skin is rich with natural moisturising factors
These are highly effective humectants: […]

Rebecca Newman’s ZO Journey: Week 4

The other night at dinner I explained to five girlfriends about my ZO regime: they were rapt. Quite simply, it ties together all the information they had vaguely heard about the benefits of retinols, peels etc and places it together into a comprehensive program. Which makes such sense.

Rebecca Newman’s ZO Journey – Week 3: Her views on Obagi and ZO Medical

I am getting into the swing of the program: I tend to wake up with small flakes of white peeling skin on my face; I polish these off and apply more product – then SmartTone sunscreen, then buff in a layer of the Glo Minerals mineral powder that my lovely facialist Kate Kerr recommended.
This makes the skin-shedding element of […]

Rebecca Newman’s ZO Skin Health Journey – Week 1

I’m in my early 30s, I’ve two small children and less sleep than ever. It shows.

Rather than go gently into the dark, wrinkled years, I went to facialist Kate Kerr to ask her advice: I’ve been a beauty journalist on and off for a decade, and Kate is fantastic.
Our conclusion? She recommended I visit Dr. Sam […]

What are the best ways to prevent Acne breakouts?

If you are in the dreaded ‘acne club’, and suffer with regular breakouts, then you have probably spent a lot of money on treatments to clear your skin, such as OTC (over the counter) creams and gels.

Sometimes, you might get lucky with one of these remedies, but more often than not, it seems to […]

Kate Kerr at Birmingham’s Skin Health Symposium UK Event

On Monday, 7th September, The Skin Health Symposium UK hosted an educational ‘Anti-Ageing and Pigmentation’ event in Birmingham at the Hilton Metropole.

Kate was approached when the organisers had first heard about the revolutionary FutureSkin DNA Programme. The aim of the Skin Health Symposium is to educate medical professionals by introducing techniques that combine various different […]
